Back pain is very common. Discover posture tips, gentle movement and when physiotherapy can help you recover.
Keep moving
For most everyday back pain, staying gently active helps recovery more than long bed rest. Short walks and gentle stretching are a good start.
Posture and lifting
When sitting for long periods, support your lower back, keep your screen at eye level and take regular breaks. When lifting, bend your knees, keep the load close and avoid twisting.
When to seek help
Get checked if pain lasts more than a few weeks, spreads down the legs, or follows an injury. Seek urgent care for numbness around the groin, loss of bladder or bowel control, or leg weakness.
Physiotherapy can guide you with exercises to strengthen and restore movement.
